AUBURN (AM News Net) – The Auburn Tigers softball team will begin their season in Mexico, according to a press release. "The Tigers open the season outside the United States and will take part in the Triple Crown Tournament in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, Feb. 9-11," the release says. "Auburn's opening day features tilts with Washington and Oklahoma, respectively, before facing Nebraska and BYU to close out the non-conference challenge." "Auburn will then host 21 consecutive home games, including three tournaments and a Southeastern Conference series on The Plains," the release says. In addition to Oklahoma, the Tigers will play nine other matches against teams that made the WCWS. The schedule includes 56 regular season games, 31 of which are home. Locations for the Fall season are yet to be announced, but the full schedule will be kept updated and can be seen here. © 2016 AM News Net. All rights reserved.
