TCU QB Trevone Boykin Suspended From Alamo Bowl After ArrestStory by Anthony Mazur
Posted 12/31/15 TCU junior Quarterback Trevone Boykin has been suspended from playing in the Alamo Bowl on Saturday after being arrested for Assault of a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, and Public Intoxication. According to the San Antonio police report, “[Boykin] was very aggressive.” Members of the group Boykin was in stated they would see him back to their hotel. However, according to the police report, Boykin was then seen charging at other polices officers and trying to punch them. Boykin settled down after officers said they would tase him. One officer was treated for lacerations by emergency medical services. TCU Football Head Coach Gary Patterson is disappointed in the actions of the players. “Trevone Boykin and Preston Miller have been suspended for Saturday's game due to violation of team rules,” Patterson said. “We are disappointed in their actions and apologize to the TCU Horned Frogs Nation, Valero Alamo Bowl and City of San Antonio."
