Mark Trumbo Rejects $17.2 million OfferPosted 11/17/16, 5:28 PM CST
DALLAS (AM News Net) – Outfielder Mark Trumbo has rejected a $17.2 million offer from the Orioles on Monday. The free agent, who previously was on the team this past season after Baltimore traded for him with the Seattle Mariners in December, is now open to new teams. Trumbo recorded career highs in OPS (.850) along with 108 RBI's. The Orioles are reportedly looking at another free agent, Ian Desmond, to replace Trumbo according to Jon Morosi.
Trumbo is one of the eight free agents who rejected extended qualifying offers. It is unlikely the Orioles will be able to get Trumbo back due to the demand for him from other teams, according to Yahoo Sports.
