Preview: Flower Mound Girl's Soccer Starts Season

FLOWER MOUND (AM News Net) – After an incredible season last year from a UIL state title off a penalty kick, the Flower Mound Lady Jaguars kicked off 2017 with a game against Keller on the 3rd. Flower Mound, which finished 15-6-3 last year, will be in a competitive district this year. Marcus, Southlake Carroll, Byron Nelson, and Flower Mound, ranked as some of the top teams in the nation, according to TopDrawerSoccer.com, will all be playing in 5-6A this season. The Flower Mound Lady Jaguars, who became state champions last year, surprised high school soccer fans. According to Coach Tsapos in a Dallas Morning News article at the time, was "speechless" when the team made the playoffs. The Lady Jaguars have now risen as a contender in the district, ranked 30 in the nation. However, the other schools like Marcus, which is ranked first in the nation, will also offer competition.
