USA Today Poll Lists Top 25 College Baseball TeamsPosted 01/31/16
A weekly USA Today poll ranking the top 25 college baseball teams decided by a panel of Division 1 Head Coaches just released reveals that the University of Florida was ranked first for the upcoming season. The Gators received 21 first place votes and a total of 758 points (a first place vote is worth 25 points, second is worth 24, etc.). Louisville follows in second place, Vanderbilt in third, Texas A&M in fourth, and LSU finishes in fifth. The California Golden Bears, ranked 12th, moved up 17 places to become the team with the biggest rise. The Arkansas Razorbacks dropped 14 places to 22nd. The Virginia Cavaliers, who won the 2015 College World Series with a 4-2 victory over Vanderbilt dropped six places to seventh place with a total of 538 points. Teams will start the 2016 season on Friday, February 19th. The full poll can be found here. |
