SMU's Semi Ojeleye Named to AAC Honor Roll

DALLAS (AM News Net) – SMU red shirt junior Semi Ojeleye was named to the men's basketball honor roll yesterday by the American Athletic Conference. Ojeleye currently is averaging 20.5 points per game and six rebounds. Ojeleye finished last game with 28 points, a career high, after a 71-53 victory over the Albany Great Danes. The Mustangs (10-3), now with a six-game winning streak, will begin conference play away at Memphis (9-3). SMU has won the last four games against Memphis and are 5-1 against them since the two teams joined the AAC. Despite Ojeleye leading the Mustangs third in the AAC scoring stats, SMU averages 72.6 points per game, compared to Memphis' 84.3 average, the highest average in the entire conference. The game, which will be the 21st time the Mustangs and Tigers meet up, will begin at 8:00 PM tonight. More weekly AAC honors can be seen here.
