     Local Flower Mound native Jeff Rarick just won free Raising Cane’s Chicken for an entire year last night after making a half-court shot at the Flower Mound VS Marcus Girls Basketball game during halftime. Rarick, who was born in Flower Mound and  is also the father of Bailey Rarick, a senior on Flower Mound’s varsity team, was selected by chance to be the one to attempt a half-court shot as part of a contest. The contest was open to all people who bought a ticket to a game, and one was randomly chosen
     “They gave us a ticket for entering the game,” Rarick said. “Just for entering the game they gave me a ticket.”
     Rarick, who loves Cane’s Chicken, knows exactly what he will be doing after his amazing shot.
     “I love Cane’s Chicken,” he said. “[I’m] very excited because I’ll probably be there every weekend eating it. I get the three-piece meal.”
     After the half-court shot, the Flower Mound Lady Jags continued against Marcus, winning 32-19.
     Raising Cane’s is a sponsor of Flower Mound Girls Basketball.
