LOUISVILLE  (AM News Net)  – The National Fast-Pitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released the final rankings of the top 25 D1 softball teams yesterday.

The Oklahoma Sooners (57-8 this season), who won the 2016 WCWS over Auburn, were ranked first by coaches. Last year they were ranked third. Auburn came in second place, followed up by LSU in third.

The Sooners, who earned their third national title this year, were voted unanimously as the top team.
