Rangers Host Play Ball Weekend Eventsposted 05/10/16
ARLINGTON – The Texas Rangers will hold a variety of events this weekend as they face the Toronto Blue Jays. Officially known as the “PLAY BALL WEEKEND,” the Rangers will be having activities “to engage young baseball fans and celebrate the continued support of youth participation in baseball and softball.” Starting at 10:00 AM on Saturday, the Rangers will be at The Lawn at Reunion teaching kids hitting, catching, running, and pitching skills during what is known as a “PLAY BALL” event. “Rangers pitchers Tony Barnette and Sam Dyson and outfielder Ryan Rua will be in attendance from 11:00 a.m. until 12 noon, and there will also be appearances by Rangers Captain and the Rangers Six Shooters,” a press release said. Admission to the PLAY BALL event is free. Also on Saturday, the 11th annual Bark in the Park will be held before the game against Toronto. Fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to watch the game against the Blue Jays. Tickets to the pregame parade are already sold out.
