FRISCO (AM News Net) – The Texas Rangers Double-A affiliate , the Frisco RoughRiders (49-46), finished up their latest series against the San Antonio Missions (34-36), Double-A affiliate of affiliate of the San Diego Padres, with a loss. The RoughRiders, who have won two out of the four games, were unable to keep up with the Missions’ batting in last night's game. Before last night’s game, the RoughRiders managed a comeback against the Missions on the 19th after infielder Luis Marte hit a 2-run home run to take the lead. This game, the RoughRiders were completely ineffective in getting around the bases until Rangers prospect Robert Guzman managed a hit to allow two runs in the eighth inning. The Missions recorded 16 hits compared to the RoughRiders’ nine. The Missions’ Rocky Gale also hit a home run in the eighth inning. The RoughRiders are at the bottom of the Texas League South, immediately behind San Antonio. The RoughRiders will continue their season with a seven game road trip starting in Corpus Christi.
