FLOWER MOUND  (AM News Net)  –  Marcus junior cornerback Matt Hankins verbally committed to Iowa today. The choice was made over 18 other scholarship offers, according to the Dallas Morning News.

"First, I'd like to give all glory to God," Hankins posted on Twitter. "Without him, none of this is possible. Second, I'd like to give a huge 'thank you' to my family, coaches, and teammates for always supporting me."

Hankins also thanked the other schools that offered him an opportunity to let him play. 

"I'm extremely blessed to say that I've made my decision in where I'd like to continue my football career," he said. "And with that being said, I'll be joining Hawk-Eye nation at the University of Iowa!"
